While it still increases yields, fimming is a more toned-down version of topping.
3. The screen of Green (ScrOG) – As one of the more familiar training techniques out there, scrogging (as people would refer to the process) makes use of a screen that is usually made up of nylon or steel wires.
   After topping the plants, this screen is positioned above your gardens to create a nice and even canopy by tying down the branches and colas onto the wires!
   What this does is that stretching the branches along with bringing up the bottom portion of colas allows for a more even distribution of lighting! This added light exposure allows the plants to focus more on the production of buds, thereby increasing the yields.
4. Super Cropping – Super Cropping refers to a high-stress training technique that revolves around slightly damaging your plants by applying pressure, twisting, or bending and breaking the cell walls of the stems.
   Now you may be wondering how in the world this helps plants grow more yields.
   Basically, once the marijuana plant’s systems detect the broken cell walls, they send multiple growth hormones to heal the affected area! Once this happens, more growth hormones are present near the colas, which then leads to more flowers being developed! Smart, right?
5. Pruning – Lastly, we have pruning. Doing this relies more on timing than anything else. Because your cannabis plant will generally spread its energy across all parts of its system. It may be spending energy on unwanted things such as fan leaves and side stalks! Carefully removing these will transfer more energy into the production of more buds.
   Additionally, taking away the primary cola will also leave more room for more primary colas to form! This gives more room for bud development.
